URS-specific courses are provided for Health, Safety and Environment, Project Management, Human Resources, Management, Federal Compliance and training on the Company's internal systems. The Health, Safety and Environment curriculum offers employees the opportunity to complete four hours of HAZWOPER refresher training online in conjunction with four hours of classroom training.
Project Managers are encouraged to enroll in an internal certification program consisting of more than 70 courses, 35 of which are required to achieve the status of a URS Project Manager. Many of our new Managers benefit from participating in an extensive online curriculum, coupled with a monthly Web seminar series. Topics range from hiring the right employee to risk management. A two-day supervisory training program and a five-day Business Management Program are offered to support our EG&G Division.
